Located seven miles northwest of Denton in west central Denton County, Krum is 47 miles northwest of Dallas and 42 miles northeast of Fort Worth. Krum has a small town rural atmosphere, an excellent school system and a great location which makes it an excellent place to raise a family or to retire.

CONFIRMED CASE OF RABIES

On 4/23/2013, the City of Krum received a report from the State of Texas that a skunk sent to the lab for analysis was diagnosed with rabies. Please read the News Release


SLOW DOWN: LOWERED SPEED LIMITS ALONG FM 1173
TxDOT has installed signs along the entire stretch of FM 1173 through the City of Krum reflecting the lowered speed limits that have been adopted by the City Council. Please watch your speed and take note of the changes to the speed limits when traveling along this route.
