What do I do when I have been called for Jury Duty?
Generally, jury service is for no longer than one day (usually just a couple of hours).

Jury service is an obligation of citizenship which is essential to the judicial process. It is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to ensure that justice is provided in our community. The judge of the Krum Municipal Court recognizes that jury service entails an imposition on the citizens called for that service. In order to minimize the burden caused by your jury service, report promptly at the date and time indicated and dress appropriately.

Please note: failure to appear for jury service may result in a $100 fine for contempt of court.

Because court cases are sometimes disposed of at the last minute, please call the Court at 940-482-3491 ext. 3 before your appearance time.
