A land development permit is required for any construction-related, land-disturbing activity. Examples of land-disturbing activities include: grading, clearing and grubbing, and back-filling of land; and installation, modification, repair, or connection to city water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure or to streets.
The types of permit applications and requirements vary by project type and size. All permit applications are reviewed by staff. Some permit applications are forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Commission for recommendation and to City Council for consideration. Please contact the Development Services department by telephone at (940) 398-7302 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for answers to your questions about land development permit applications and processes.
